January’s Polish Pickup – Mythology!

Hello everyone! It’s been a while since I have done a Polish Pickup review and I’m going to go back through my collections and pulled the previous months to share with you. Today, we have my Mythology themed picks from Bee’s Knees Lacquer and Painted Polish. February’s theme is Duos & Pairs and I should have those polishes very soon. 🙂

The Polish Pickup is an interactive Facebook group that allows members to submit and vote on themed monthly ideas and purchases from an array of indie polish brands at a one stop shop. The shopping window is open on the first Friday of every month and closes on the following Monday. Once that window closes, shipping takes approximately two to three weeks. All products are purchased on a pre-order basis, which means most items will not be mixed until after the sale window closes.

“The Haetae” is Bee’s Knees’ contribution. It is a silver linear holo with an icy blue to purple shimmer, holo flakes, and iridescent flakes that shift from teal to purple, inspired by the stories of the Haetae the maker was told as a child. OMG, I cannot begin to say how much I love this polish. If you find one in a destash, snatch it up. I wish I had purchased a backup bottle.

“Luna” is Painted Polish’s contribution. It is a slate grey crelly with cobalt blue color-shifting flakes, inspired by the Roman Goddess of the Moon! I’m not usually a fan of grey polishes but the pop of blue in this made this an obvious pick on my shopping list. You can flood your cuticles easily with this so go in with a thin coat to start.

February’s sale has already closed but you can join in time for March! Join the Polish Pickup Pack on Facebook for all details regarding the next sale. 🙂

XOXO, Dani
